One of the things I can remember about my childhood is a number of games we would play as a family. We had a cupboard full of different board games, cards and dominoes etc. This is something that I have passed down to Roo and Tigger (and hopefully Piglet when she is a little older), with shelves of various games that they love to enjoy between the two of them or on family games night.
We are, however, always on the look out for the next game to add to our collection so with Easter coming up the Bunny Jump game from University Games seemed like the perfect addition.
University Games | Bunny Jump
Simply take turns to spin the dial and extract the carrots from the ‘field’; no one knows when the bunny will jump… When it does, he jumps in the air, and the first one to catch it gains extra carrots to help win the game. The player to collect the most carrots wins.
Suitable for players aged 5+ years.

Playing Bunny Jump is really quite simple, place the carrots into the burrow and add the jumping rabbit to the top and push down. Spin the spinner to determine how many carrots you need to pull out and continue in a clockwise rotation until someone pulls the carrot that launches the jumping rabbit into the air. If you manage to catch the rabbit you are able to select two carrots from one of your fellow players. The player with the most carrots at the end wins!
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
Coming from the age group that had Pop Up Pirate in their childhood the Bump Jump game is a very similar concept and just as funny as I remember Pop Up Pirate being. One big difference and a major improvement over the game I remember as a child is that the jumping rabbit is, in fact, soft and squidgy so if you do happen to miss and it bops you on the head it won’t hurt half as much.Both Roo and Tigger think the game is hilarious and it is funny to see them try to select the carrot from the same hole that made Bunny Jump before and try to work out why it didn’t move (random selection each time keeps the children guessing).
