As a child you take life with a pinch of salt
As a teenager you feel life is so unfair
As a young professional you feel as though your whole life is spent working
As a new parent you suddenly become aware of the responsibilities that go with bring a new life into the world
As a grandparent you see life passing you by
As a pensioner you become acutely aware of how short life can be
But at what point in life do you realise your own mortality?
Whilst death is not something I like to think about, since I had Roo and Tigger given more thought about what would happen if either myself or Mr Boo passed away. The loss of a parent at any age is always difficult but I hope that by having life insurance that at least they won’t have to worry financially.
Having children has made me realise my own mortality and that of Mr Boo. The feeling that Roo and Tigger might be forced out of their childhood home because we failed to protect our finances is heartbreaking.
Some of my friends view life insurance as unnecessary, but are we to know when it’s our turn??
