The Hobbit, Relax, and a blanket of snow #LittleLoves

February 10, 2018

Once upon a time, I was a bit of a risk taker. Jumping into situations with both feet and thinking about everything afterwards. Nowadays I am a creature of comfort and very indecisive. Recently I’ve been pushing my boundaries and this week has really put me out of comfort zone. There are many positives to take from it but I naturally still question whether I should have put myself out there.

This week’s #LittleLoves…

Read

If this were my childhood school report, this section would read ‘requires improvement‘. A combination of time passing so quickly and lack of energy is hampering my desire to get lost in a good book.

Watched

We alternate days between the computer and other activities for Tigger. Not purposely attempting to limit his screen time, more ensuring that he remembers to have access to the different things that make up his life. On his non-computer days this week he has opted to watch the first two The Hobbit films. A big fan of the series along with Lord of the Rings. It’s lovely to sit down and watch along with him. Especially as he likes to point out key parts of the storyline to me to ensure I know what is happening.

Heard

A drive to London this week called for my trusty Now 40s playlist on the iPod. A firm favourite that didn’t disappoint with pick me up tunes along the journey. With a trip down memory lane with the likes of Relax, The National Express and Drinking in LA.

Made

My attempts to get organised and clear the clutter had fallen by the wayside in the previous few weeks. This week with the arrival of a Songmics storage unit for our under stairs cupboard has given me a much-needed kick up the bum. Old shoes, coats and clutter banished from the cupboard of doom.

Wore

It’s been a week of new PJ’s for me, with a crisis of confidence as to which ones to wear for a Mumsnet project I’m involved in (more on that in a few weeks).

We were treated to a blanket of snow on Wednesday morning. Whilst I would have preferred to have stayed home to build a snowman. The nursery and school run was a requirement for the day. I was thankful for Piglet’s Muddy Puddles Scamp Suit keeping her toasty and dry as we headed out.

Lastly

It appears that the cat is out of the bag when it comes to my recent trip to the Dreams factory in Oldbury with Mumsnet. Parenting bloggers and Mumsnetters have been assisting in the creation of two mattresses to aid parents to get the best night’s sleep possible.
