Despite still feeling somewhat gentle this week, I’ve been making a conscious effort to ‘man up and get on with things’. This has, of course, meant that by the time the children are in bed I am completely wiped out too so have taken myself to bed too.
This week Mr. Boo has been off with us and I can’t tell you how wonderful that is. We miss him terribly when he is at work. So family time is most welcomed when we get the chance of it. I snapped the photo of us earlier this week as I was busy packing bits and pieces. Whilst I could easily focus on the mess behind us, the garden bits visible through the patio doors etc. Instead, I choose to focus on us. A silly moment taken 15 seconds after he’d swept me up for a dance around the kitchen whilst the children were playing.
This week’s #LittleLoves…
Read
Earlier this week I was co-hosting the #BathBookBed Twitter Party. Whilst taking part I was reminded of so many classic bedtime stories that we have enjoyed over the years. It inspired me to pull some of the books from the bookcase that we hadn’t read for a while. It’s funny how a storyline comes back to memory.
Watched
Sky: Playing catch up on my US reality shows. With Counting On showcasing Joe and Kendra Duggars wedding – I do love a beautiful wedding!
Netflix: I finally managed to get round to watching the second season of The Crown. I wasn’t sure how well it would hold up to the first season but I’m hooked. Although some of the content covered such as the question of whether Prince Philip strayed or not, made me hope that it is just creative licence at play.
Amazon Prime: Nothing again this week. I was hoping to catch up with Grand Tour but simply haven’t gotten around to it.
Heard
Kiss The Rain by Billie Myers – a song that always makes me think of my oldest friend. I can recall days when we danced to this in her bedroom. Deciding on what we would wear before heading out into Manchester for a spot of underage drinking (ah to be a teenager again!).
Made
With a family trip planned before the children head back to school on Monday, I have been busy packing. I tend to overpack and yet still manage to forget something every time. I’m hoping that this time I have everything we need.
Wore
Not worn as such but more of a declutter in the children’s wardrobes. They all seem to be having a growth spurt at the moment so I’ve been bagging up clothes for the charity shop whilst making a mental note of things I need to look out for on our next trip into the city.
Lastly
Barry Island look out here I come! After watching and loving Gavin and Stacey for so long, I am finally getting my chance to head to Barry Island… and I can’t tell you how happy this makes me!
