From The Bookshelf, The Royal Wedding and Peppa Pig World #LittleLoves

This is the first month of the #LittleLoves linky being hosted monthly.  If I’m honest, I have missed not sharing a weekly update.  It’s been strange to sit here this morning and ponder about what the month of May has held for us.  With brain struggling to think back seven days, you can only imagine how hard it has had to work recalling a month’s worth of activities.

The Crown, Kiss The Rain and Barry Island #LittleLoves

This week Mr. Boo has been off with us and I can’t tell you how wonderful that is.  We miss him terribly when he is at work.  So family time is most welcomed when we get the chance of it.  I snapped the photo of us earlier this week as I was busy packing bits and pieces.  Whilst I could easily focus on the mess behind us, the garden bits visible through the patio doors etc.  Instead, I choose to focus on us.  A silly moment taken 15 seconds after he’d swept me up for a dance around the kitchen whilst the children were playing.

Flu, Period Dramas and Haircuts #LittleLoves

I’m a day late in sharing my usual #LittleLoves post with you this week.  Although if I’m honest I’m surprised that I’m only a day late.  The truth is that I’m on the slow recovery from flu, which hit me like a ton of bricks and has knocked me sideways.  Being a parent and being ill is never fun at the best of times but flu and the school holidays are not a good combination.  It has given me the time to regroup and reassess priorities in life and my workload.

Easter Holidays, Spotify in the car and family travels #LittleLoves

The Easter holidays are here and we are looking forward to lots of family days outs and activities.  In some ways, it doesn’t feel like five minutes since the last half term yet in another way it feels like it has been a long time since all the children were at home.  It’s been a busy week attempting to get things straight ready for the holidays.  I’m not quite there yet but the holidays are here so everything else will have to wait.

Renewed Energies, Mansfield Park, and Daddy’s Scarf #LittleLoves

I attacked this week armed with a to-do list and a calendar of school events, shopping trips and car repairs that needed to be completed.  Finally, I feel as though I’m back to work mode.  Making an effort to utilise my renewed energies and enthusiasm to clear the backlog of tasks.

This week has not been plain sailing though.  It has tested me in ways I’d rather wish it hadn’t.  And I’ve already muttered the words ‘it is February yet?’ on more than one occasion.  Alas, these things are sent to try us and try me they have.

Christmas, Elf Pyjamas and a Festive Birthday #LittleLoves

Just like that we have reached the final #LittleLoves of the year.  I’m actually quite annoyed with myself that I wasn’t able to complete a whole year.  With my post falling by the wayside this month between the chaos of Christmas, school activities and family life.  Chasing my tail for at least the last month, I don’t know if I’m coming or going.  The New Year needs to see changes in lifestyle made, I cannot continue in the manner I have been.  A balance needs to be found, goals to be set and a different way of thinking.

Birthdays, #WWEButlins and Diary of a Wimpy Kid #LittleLoves

Thank the heavens it is Friday! It has been one of those weeks in the Boo Roo and Tigger Too household.  With an amazing family trip to Butlins Minehead for their #WWEButlins weekend.  Roo had the opportunity to celebrate her 11th birthday whilst we were there and she had such a wonderful weekend.  Heading home in time to celebrate Tigger’s 7th birthday (never a good idea to have birthdays three days apart).  After that it all went downhill, with all of us suffering in one way or another will illness, with Tigger being sent home from school on Thursday after being sick in his classroom (so sorry Miss M and Miss C).  Add into the mix technical issues with my laptop and blog, I have simply wanted to crawl back under the duvet and hide from the world.

Reflective Mood, London Dungeons and The Gruffalo’s Child#LittleLoves

I’ve been in quite a reflective mood this week, prompted by a visit to London which I was asked questions about my blog.  How I started it, why I blog, what I blog about etc.  It made me think back to the good old days when blogging was much simpler.  I simply wrote about what I wanted, in the way I wanted and pressed publish.  Whereas now there is so much more that goes into creating a blog post and I guess I miss those simpler days.
