Who doesn’t love summer? From the longer days, lighter nights and family fun to be had once the children are out of school.
I do love summer however I have never really been one for getting my legs out in public. Sitting in the comfort of my yarden or enjoying a family BBQ I might pop a pair of shorts on, however for venturing out to the beach or a family day out I’m not brave enough to share my milky white legs with strangers. Popping on a pair of cropped trousers kind of solves the problem but I don’t find them very cooling to wear so end up a little hot and bothered.
For me summer dress are the prefect way to enjoy the summer sun, opting for a shorter smock dress around the house or sunbathing in the yarden or a classic maxi dress when I venture outdoors with the children. Wearing a longer dress not only keeps my pale pegs from blinding the nation but keeps me cool at the same time. In an attempt to look more summery this year I have been shopping for summer dresses but I don’t want to spend a fortune so let me share with you my top summer dresses for under £20 each.
What do you think of my choices? Personally I think I have covered almost all summer occasions from a day at the beach with the children wearing the cheesecloth maxi dress, a family day out in the printed or zigzag maxi dress and even a meal out with the girls in either the floral maxi dress or my personal favourite the Moda floral maxi dress.
The best thing about these top summer dresses (other than that they are under £20.00) are that they are available from George so you can pick one up whilst you do your weekly shopping at Asda.
