When I was pregnant with Roo we had all the baby bits that we needed before her arrival, from the necessary to the not-so necessary. With two full-time salaries coming in it was easy to go out and splurge on babies things that we wanted. After she was born and I dropped down to a part-time salary we realised that maybe we could have invested out money more wisely. So when we fell pregnant with Tigger we still had many of the baby accessories from Roo however this time round I opted to spend our money stocking up on baby essentials like nappies and wipes so that we won’t have to purchase as much whilst surviving on Mr Boo’s salary and my maternity pay.
Now that I am pregnant with Piglet and we are once again going to be stretched for money once I drop down to maternity pay I have started to stock up on baby essentials. This time however instead scouring the supermarkets and departments stores looking for their latest bargains I have opted to head over to Chemist Direct, who have everyday products available at competitive prices.
Ordering from Chemist Direct is really straight forward and with free delivery on orders over £40 it is a great way to stock up baby essentials, toiletries or travel essentials without having to hit the high street.
I’ve managed to start my stock pile of nappies, wipes, ointments and nursing pads ready for Piglet’s arrival later this year. I plan on adding to it with each pay packet so that I have enough items to last me through my maternity pay.
Did you stock up on baby essentials when you were pregnant?
