Winter is coming. The long summer nights are most certainly behind us and autumn has brought with it the wind and the rain. There is something about hearing the weather beat against the window panes that makes me feel cold (even if I have the heating up high).
Although I do love the autumn and winter months, must be the northerner in me that looks forward to the leaves falling and hopes that this year we’ll get enough snow to build a snowman. Of course, I’m a fair weather northerner who only loves the bad weather if I don’t need to go anywhere, the heating is up high and I’m snuggling on the sofa in my pyjamas.
Silentnight Hotel Collection Duvet
We’re currently playing that game of ‘it’s not quite cold enough to put the big 13.5 tog duvet, but not warm enough to have the summer duvet on either‘. At the moment we have compromised and have the throw that usually just sits at the bottom of our bed as a decorative feature over the top of the summer duvet to give us that added warmth. Personally, I’d rather be too hot in bed than cold but Mr Boo isn’t so keen, so I’ll have to wait until it really does get cold to change the duvet over.
It’s not just the warmth that the winter duvet brings me that I love, it’s that big, puffy filling that just wraps you up and makes you all cosy. With winter coming it is time to start making sure that we all have warm duvets ready for our beds. The Silentnight Hotel Collection duvets are the perfect solution for this. At 13.5 tog they are sure to keep us feeling toasty as we hop into bed on a night, although I fear they might make us not want to get out of bed in a morning.
Silentnight Hotel Collection Pillow
As someone who likes to have two full and supportive pillows in bed, to me making sure you have good quality pillows is a must have. Not only do they look fabulous when you make the bed in the morning, inviting you back in for just five more minutes. But they are there to support you as you climb into bed with your head heavy from all the things you have and haven’t accomplished that day.
Roo uses her pillows to prop her up as she devours another Jacqueline Wilson book before bed. Whilst Tigger, like his Daddy, only likes to have one pillow on the bed. With a variety of uses, I need an all round pillow that can withstand family life. The Silentnight Hotel Collection pillows are deep filled providing that extra support and comfort. Machine washable makes them family friendly and allows me to make sure that they free from dust mites etc for Tigger.
