Before I had my children I never really bothered too much with photographs. Obviously we had photographs of our wedding but other than that we never really put any new ones up or send any of us to relatives.
This changed after having Roo and my camera became my new best friend. So the year after Roo was born I thought wouldn’t it be lovely to send a special Christmas photo of Roo to our relatives, especially as many of them live away.
So, Christmas 2007 I took this photo and simply added to shop bought photo cards.
By 2009 I became more adventurous with my Christmas gifts and just this photo to make some lovely Christmas baubles which I still bring out and place on the tree.
In 2010, Tigger was only about 5wks old when it came time to take the Christmas photo… it wasn’t a great photo so unfortunately I wasn’t as creative this year and just sent it out inside an ordinary Christmas card. However in 2011, I had recently won a Kodak printer and determined to make the most of it I printed my own photos.
And as for 2012, well I have bought some snowflake photo baubles with the plan on placing a photo of Roo and Tigger each side. This will then be packaged up and sent across the UK, from Cardiff to Manchester, Carlisle to Newcastle.
So not only do I get to share my gorgeous children with all my relatives but it saves money on gifts and postage.
