As I was browsing the Radio Times over Christmas highlight the must-watch Christmas TV. I came across a two-part series – Revolting Rhymes based on Roald Dahl’s book. Highlighting it I knew that it would be one for the whole family to watch.
Revolting Rhymes – based on the classic stories by Roald Dahl
The classic collection of tales by Roald Dahl were brought to life by Magic Light Pictures (the amazing team behind The Gruffalo and Stick Man). Bringing together the classic fairy tales served with wickedly funny and mischievous twists.
Featuring the voices of Rob Bryson, David Walliams and Dominic West. The two-part animation is now available to buy on DVD. The 60-minute animation is suitable for all the family. Featuring classic tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and Jack and the Beanstalk. But forget how these traditional fairy tales play out as Revolting Rhymes changes everything.
Revolting Rhymes has us all giggling and belly laughing along with the mischievous twists. I like that the DVD has kept the two parts to the series rather than blending them into one feature-length episode. Great for when you only have a short amount of time or little ones who can only sit still for 30 minutes.
Available on DVD or digital download from Amazon and all other good entertainment retailers. It is one that you will watch time and time again.
