This is a wonderful sweatjacket with a straight, unisex fit, and it’s become one of the core garments in the me&i collection. This is an incredibly versatile sweatjacket with a retro feel in the details – raglan sleeves and stripes.
Italian fleece, 96% cotton and 4% elastane
Upon arrival I was surprised at just how soft the fabric felt. Being a sweatjacket I was expecting it to feel quite rough and course. My next big concern was the zip, many zip-up tops get the best of Roo and she gets frustrated at having to ask for help. The zip moves easily up and down and Roo is able to fasten it by herself.
To add a little interest to a simple sweatjacket me&i have added a double white strip down the sleeves. It was great to see that the piping detail continued round the cuff and into the stitching, ensuring that it doesn’t come undo.
Whilst Roo is young and not too aware of brands and labels I was pleased to see that me&i have kept their branding to a minimum with a simple label.
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
Roo loves pink (don’t most girls?), so when she came home and saw this sitting on the side she was one happy little girl. Upon trying on she did comment about the softness and that she was a big girl zipping up her own clothes.
With prices starting at £25 it is a little more expensive than I would usually spend on an item like this. However, this being said you do get what you pay for. The sweatjacket washes and irons well, it has kept its colour and softness too.
