I feel as though I’m on the home stretch now – the end is in sight as they say. This week I finish work as I have four weeks of annual leave to use up before my maternity leave starts in mid November.
I’m looking forward to being able to get things ready for Piglet at home. Setting up the crib, washing her clothes and buying the final things we need for her.
Piglet
- Piglet is as big as a squash
- She is getting ready for birth now and is laying head down
- Space is becoming limited and she is likely to be feeling cramped
Feeling
I’ve been feeling quite well in myself, which is a welcome relief after some of the problems I’ve had during this pregnancy. Having stopped taking my aspirin I’m feeling much better for it so fingers crossed that my consultant won’t be too unhappy about me stopping this.
Eating
I’m having mixed days at the moment, some days I don’t really fancy much to eat yet others I feel as though I’m eating all day long. I’m tending to graze throughout the day rather than sit and eat three meals a day as they make me feel uncomfortable (plus make me want to have a little snooze afterwards).
Appointments
I had a check up with my midwife last week and everything seems to looking OK, she hasn’t got any concerns over my BP, urine or size of Piglet. Piglet is laying head down and is already engaged in my pelvis which I can really feel at times and causing me some discomfort so I have to try to find a comfortable sitting or sleeping position. I’ve also had my flu and whopping cough vaccinations earlier this week and as I had to take the children with me I had to put a brave face on but ouch they did sting.
