But this is not necessarily the case at all – in fact, asbestos isn’t just possible in your garden, it might even be likely. Let’s take a look at where you might find asbestos in your garden and exactly what you should do about it.

Day Nursery // Six Months On

November 21, 2017 No Comments

Earlier this year we made the decision to send Piglet to a nursery for a couple of mornings a week.  This was to allow me to get some work completed uninterrupted.  Whilst also enabling Piglet to interact with children of a similar age.  The decision whilst a practical one didn’t sit well with my conscious as I felt it was wrong to send her to a nursery if I wasn’t going ‘out’ to work.

Stepping into Autumn

November 20, 2017 No Comments

The autumnal weather has arrived and looks set to stay.  No longer can I kid myself that my summer wardrobe is acceptable on the school run.  It is time to pack away my Birkenstocks and t-shirts. Replacing them with warm knits, ankle boots and possibly even a scarf or two.

Stepping into autumn with an updated wardrobe allows me to worry about the best places to find pine cones and golden leaves for crafts with the children.  Rather than whether or not I’m shivering from the cold and wanting to rush back indoors.

PAW Patrol My Size Lookout Tower

As Piglet approaches her second birthday and Christmas, we have been looking at a range of the PAW Patrol toys available.  With the PAW Patrol vehicles and pups available separately, it allows us the option to purchase her favourites or treat her to the whole team.  Although it is the PAW Patrol My Size Lookout Tower from Spin Master is something that we have been playing with over the past few weeks (**Spoiler alert** – we love it!).

Christmas gift principles // Something to read

November 18, 2017 No Comments

This year there is a big push on the four gift principles, something you want, something you need, something to wear and something to read.  Whilst this concept has been around for a number of years, I think we are all more aware of the financial burden that Christmas can be.  As well as the number of items we both gift and receive that are not necessary. With this in mind, I wanted to share with you the wonderful #giveabook campaign from Scholastic.

Making Time For Play // Weekends Are Family Time

November 17, 2017 No Comments

Long before I was married and had children, I worked with a lady who would talk about her daughter and granddaughter.  With great affection, she would talk about what adventures they had been up to at the weekend.  You see, her daughter worked full time during the week, with her granddaughter attending nursery whilst she was at work.  The weekends, however, were theirs.  A time to dedicate two full days to fun, adventures and everything else.  Cramming in as much as possible into the time they had together.

Fun Gifts to Buy for the Person Who Has Everything

November 17, 2017 No Comments

The holidays always signal a time of getting together with friends and family, sharing laughs, a meal, and just having a good time. The holidays also have another aspect to them that isn’t quite as enjoyable and that’s holiday gift shopping. It seems like everyone always has at least one or two people on their list that are extremely hard to buy for. Maybe it’s not even a family member or a friend, maybe it’s the office gift exchange that you’re having a hard time with.
