From slippers to sandals, from sandals to shoes, from shoes to boots we all have our favourite type of footwear. Some footwear however, you cannot get away from and that is what you wear to work everyday. So when Lotus Shoes offered me the opportunity to review a pair of their shoes I immediately searched for a new pair of shoes I could wear at work.
Working in a healthcare setting I do have some limitations on what I am ‘allowed’ to wear…
Footwear must be black or navy on colour
Footwear must have a strap or lace fastening, ballet pumps are not suitable
Black socks or tights must be worn
With this is mind I managed to find not only a practical pair of shoes but an eye pleasing pair too…

I’m sure I’m not the only woman to get rather excited when the postman delivers a new pair of shoes, that nervous excitement at what delights that shoe box contains. Upon opening I was not disappointed, the shoes were neatly wrapped in tissue paper to avoid any damage in transit.
The shoes are of a Mary Jane style with a microfibre upper and patent wedge heel. Even though the heel is 6.5cm high it does not feel overly high and due to the wedge each step is steady.
The microfibre upper really adds to to the overall comfort whilst wearing the shoes both with and without socks/tights. I have been wearing these shoes for about a week now and as with any new shoes they get more comfortable as you ‘wear them in’. After a busy shift and the nursery run I can honestly say that I’m not in a hurry to kick these off as soon as I get home.
