When I opted to apply for Tigger’s school place at the same school as Roo I did it for purely selfish reasons as it would make my life easier. With just one school run to complete instead of dropping one off and then dashing over to another school to drop the other off before doing the reverse later in the day.
What I never considered was what having them in the same school would mean to Roo and Tigger. Over the past week I have watched them wave each other goodbye in the morning, excitedly greet each other at the end of the school day before telling me how many times they have spotted each other during the school day.
Listening to them chatter about how they saw each other at lunchtime or if Tigger has spotted Roo through his classroom window when she was doing sports etc. It is so heart warming to hear that they look forward to those little glimpses of each other.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth – Khalil Gibran
