This week we greeted the half-term holiday like a long lost friend. The week-long break from school is always welcome after the beginning of the new school year. Having been off school between March and September, I think that Roo and Tigger were looking forward to the time at home with open arms.
Life in lockdown… Week 33
A much more subdued half term to one that we would normally enjoy due to life in lockdown, however, I think we still managed to have fun and enjoy our time together as a family.
ROARR Dinosaur Adventure
What better way to kickstart the half-term holidays as well as the countdown to Halloween than a family trip to ROARR Dinosaur Adventure. Celebrating Dippy’s Halloween Days, venturing through the dinosaur trail, storytime and activities, With Roo and Tigger getting to have a go on the Predator High Ropes course, with the zip line working this time which they were so happy about.
Rain stops play
Being Merlin Annual Pass holders we look forward to utilising them to the fullest during the holidays. We had planned a trip to Chessington World of Adventure on Thursday, however, with the wet and windy weather of Autumn banging on the door we thought it best to give it a miss. We hadn’t actually told the children of our plans so they were none the wiser, however, it’s always disappointing when plans don’t work out.
Halloween at home
Usually, we go all out for Halloween, joining with the houses around our estate to decorate the house and welcome Trick or Treaters. This year we didn’t feel it was safe to do this so opted for a Halloween at home. Enjoying spooky family films, games night and a Halloween trick or treat scavenger hunt around the house for the children. What The Dad Said decorated the inside of the house and Piglet loved getting out all the Halloween animated/singing toys.
