So the summer holidays are in full swing and we have some great things planned for the children however we can’t be out and about everyday. A mixture of rainy days (what happened to out sun filled days?), those pesky household chores (why don’t the fairies come and do it all for me?) and our renovation plans mean that we need to do some bits around the house in preparation.
So whilst Roo and Tigger would happily spend their days at home in front of a computer screen I won’t let them (mean mummy). I can remember my childhood holidays filled with completing jigsaw puzzles at my Granny’s house (which was annoying when someone came round and found the piece I’d been looking for), walks with my Grandad and crafts with my Mam. You see my Mam is one of those fabulous people who can turn her hand to almost anything and would sit and show my how to sew, knit (well she attempted but I was hopeless), crafts and baking.
Not wanting the children to remember their holidays on how far the managed to complete a computer game I am pleased to say that Wilko have come to my rescue with a selection of #KeepTheKidsBusy activities. With their creative play range starting at just £1.00 it is a great way to stock up on rainy day activities, free play craft supplies and make your own activities.
