You’ll also have to remember to use local hashtags to reach people in your area. “#BigSale” is great, but “#(CitLocation)Sale” is even better. And don’t forget about stories—those little snippets are perfect for quick updates and teasers. Just make it big, and make it loud!

It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to target the whole city, country, or even just your neighborhood. But if you want to make sure people stay in the loop, then you have to understand that an email newsletter is a powerful tool. So, you’ll need to craft a fun and engaging email to your subscribers, highlighting the best deals and including an exclusive discount code to make them feel special. 

Again, this is all about foot traffic, so you need to make it compelling enough for them to take time out of their day to come all the way to your business. For example, you could throw in a catchy subject line, something like, “You Won’t Believe These Deals!” to ensure it gets opened. But even a bit of personalisation can go a long way, too—try using the recipient’s first name to make the message more inviting- usually newsletters have it set up to do that too. 

Eye-Catching Window Displays

So, this is super old-fashioned, but in all honesty, this is probably the best way to go about this. Sometimes, the old-fashioned ways like Corflute signs on your window in big bold letters saying “SALE” or a number like “70% Off”, can be the best way to really get those customers to go inside of your business! Again, it’s all about making displays that will really catch some attention.

Flash Sales and Limited Time Offers

Want there to be actual lines for your business? This is seriously the best way to go about it! But how? Well, it’s all about creating a sense of urgency with flash sales or time-limited offers. Ideally, it’s about announcing a special deal that’s only available for a few hours or for the first 20 customers. This encourages people to visit sooner rather than later. But doing a countdown on social media for extra urgency could really help, too.
