During a recent trip to Toys R Us we made our way around the store when Tigger came across the Fisher-Price Imaginext Lions Den Castle, he sat down and played with it for a good five minutes whilst Mr Boo and Roo continued around the store. Eventually it was time to pry him away from it… let’s just say it wasn’t a pretty sight (think of the advert where the kid is laying on the floor screaming). So you can imagine my delight when we were offered the opportunity to review the Fisher-Price Imaginext Lions Den Castle (not to mention the serious mummy points earned for bringing the castle to our home!).

Fisher-Price Imaginext Lions Den Castle – Key features
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
Tigger was practically bouncing up and down when he came home from pre-school to find the Fisher-Price Imaginext Lions Den Castle sitting on the sofa, thankfully it was really easy to get out of the packaging with only the top guard being secured into place with a cable tie which took a little getting off (really must buy sharper scissors). With the Lion Den Castle out and set up, Tigger enjoyed finding out what happened when you pressed the different flags, turned the turntables and of course firing the discs from the catapult.
Suitable for children aged 3 years+, it comes complete with a host of accessories and most importantly the batteries! Personally I really liked that there were so many different ways in which Tigger could interact with the Lions Den Castle. There are other Imaginext sets available that would add to the playset which make the playability of the set last so much longer. I can see Tigger wanting to add the Castle Wizard Tower to his Christmas list.
Available from Amazon, Toys R Us and all other good toy retailers with a £49.99 RRP which given the size of the castle and the accessories included I think is a fair price, however do look out for deals towards Christmas.
