When I was a child I can remember shopping with my Mam for a new outfit each Easter. Every year we got a new dress or top and shorts instead of getting an Easter egg from her.
Whilst I loved getting the new clothes it was always a bit of a nightmare shopping trip. We’d usually go the day before Good Friday (Market day) and the town centre would be heaving with people getting all the last minutes things for Easter. Added to the complication of trying to find outfits for both my older sister, myself and younger brother usually within different stores.
Buying an Easter outfit is something that I have kept as a tradition and I continue to do this with Roo and Tigger. However, the joys of being a working mum means that I am often short of time so trying to find the perfect outfits is quite difficult. For me the perfect answer is the TU clothing selection in my local Sainsbury’s store. So whilst I am grabbing the weekly shop I can also get a little clothing retail therapy.
With the new spring items now available in-store I have spied a few outfits that I’d love to get Roo and Tigger this Easter.
Roo has always been a girlie girl so loves her dresses. I can’t decide which of these two dresses to get her though, the floral print one would look lovely on Easter Sunday and an upcoming christening as well as so cute on warm summer days. The Giraffe print is an unusual design but I think she would love it. This could be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
Boys I find are are easier to dress than girls, as long as you have some key staples in their wardrobe. This spring summer I think it is all going to be about chino shorts, preferably in a selection of different colours to match a variety of shirts and t-shirts all summer long.
TU have a great selection of cute shirts and shorts for Tigger this Easter but I can’t decide between these two outfits, do I opt for a funky white patterned shirt and purple denim shorts or the traditional patterned blue shirt and chino shorts??
Do you buy your children an Easter outfit?
