When I had Roo, I was shocked to find that the day after I had her that my baby bump was still very much there. I can remember looking at myself in the mirror and thinking that something must have gone wrong during my emergency c-section as all the celebrities seemed to walk out of hospital in their regular jeans, and looking fantastic.
I did not look or feel fantastic. In fact, it took me some getting used to that my body shape had changed since having Roo. With two further children my body shape has changed time and time again. Since having Piglet last year I am still adjusting to my body shape as it seems to have changed so much this time round. Whilst I weigh less than I did before I fell pregnant I don’t feel as though I look slimmer, if anything, I look bigger.
During the winter months it is easier for me to dress I can hide away in big jumpers and jeans, however, the summer sun means that I need to start embracing my new body shape and dress accordingly. Whilst I’m not usually one for dresses, they would suit my shape much better than jeans so I have been looking at the range of dresses on offer at House of Fraser and I’ve picked a few out that I love.
What do you think of my selection?
Did your body shape change after having your children? Instead of wishing for my pre-baby body back it’s time to embrace the figure that I have now.
Disclosure: This is a collaborative post, although I really am buying dresses for the summer
