Last year we visited the Drayton Manor fireworks spectacular, a celebration of half term, the end of the season at Drayton and of course Roo and Tigger’s birthdays. This year Drayton Manor are hosting their fireworks spectacular to end the fantastic 2014 season with two nights of spectacular fireworks displays on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November.
The fantastic fireworks and laser shows are set to music and last for 20 minutes, making them one of the biggest displays in the Midlands, and trust me when I say they were amazing – so good we are planning to visit again this year.
A whole host of rides will remain open until 9pm, so the thrills can continue into the evening. Europe’s only stand-up rollercoaster, Shockwave, and drop-tower Apocalypse, which was voted the UK’s scariest ride by Channel 5’s The Gadget Show, will be amongst those open until late.
The fireworks weekend will be the climax of a fantastic half-term week (Saturday 25th Oct – Friday 31st Oct), where visitors will have the chance to experience and enjoy Europe’s only Thomas Land™, featuring 21 rides and attractions based on the popular Thomas & Friends™ series. From Rocking Bulstrode to the Troublesome Trucks Coaster and Cranky the Crane’s Drop Tower to Winston’s Whistle-stop Tour, there’s a whole host of characters guaranteed to keep the young and young at heart entertained.
Visitors can also explore the 15-acre zoo, which is home to over 100 animal species including a cheeky meerkat mob, a pair of endangered black leopards, apes and primates, parrots and owls.
Tickets for the spectacular fireworks are now on sale, and Drayton Manor Theme Park recommends buying early to avoid disappointment. To pre-book tickets, or to find out more information, visit www.draytonmanor.co.uk – Final admission into the park during the fireworks weekend will be 6pm.
Are you planning on visiting any fireworks displays this year?
If you’re heading to Drayton Manor, we’ll see you there!
Disclosure: I was not asked to share our love of the Drayton Manor Fireworks Spectacular, just sharing as we loved it last year.
