Dear Asda Opticians Great Yarmouth,
I’m writing to express my disappointment that when I contacted you to book an eye test I was told that you weren’t accepting any bookings as you still didn’t have an optician.
What do you mean you still don’t have an optician?
How long have you not had one for?
Why haven’t you got a locum in?
I was advised to get my eyes tested elsewhere and them come back to purchase my glasses with yourselves as yo are happy to accept prescriptions from other providers.
Now whilst I’m disappointed that you don’t have an optician on hand it does make me question on much business you have lost by not having a locum in. Instead opting to send customers elsewhere in the hope that they will return to buy their glasses from yourself.
What I’m most disappointed about is the fact that last time I had my eyes tested and bought glasses I has been to two other opticians before I came to yourselves. My husband was on the verge of divorcing me as I couldn’t make up my mind about which glasses I wanted.
As someone who wears glasses full-time it is a very important decision and not one to be taken lightly
After heading into your store I was greeted by the most lovely lady who patiently helped me look through the frame options, lens options and advised me whether the frames where too big or small for my face. She helped me find two pairs of glasses that have served me well for the last two years, saved my husband from divorcing me and all without spending a fortune on glasses that didn’t suit me.
This attention to detail is what was bringing me back for my eye test renewal
Now I am facing the option of booking an eye test with another optician and possibly taking my business elsewhere.
Yours faithfully, a disappointed optician customer
