I love Christmas shopping, from making a list of people I need to buy for to jotting down ideas of what they might like. This year I have done quite a bit of my Christmas shopping at The Works, which at first glance might not be the first place you head to pick up a range of Christmas presents but you’d be surprised at just what they have available. The Works houses a range of books, gifts, crafts, stationery as well as Christmas decorations and accessories. Alongside their great selection of products they have a range of fabulous offers available too which helps make your money go further especially at Christmas.
Children’s books
As someone who generally buys all my friends children a new set of pyjamas and a book each year I am always on the look out for great deals on children’s books. For younger children The Works has a fabulous 10 books for £10 offer available online or a 4 books for £5 offer available in store. With a wide selection f books to choose from I’ve been able to get enough books for Christmas as well as put some away in the birthday box for when the children attend parties throughout the year.
For older children there is a wonderful range of fiction and non-fiction books available in the The Works 3 books for £10 offer. With some great books from Miles Kelly Publishing etc. you can find the perfect book for the child in mind. Roo for example loves reading and learning facts about different topics so I’ve picked up a book called 8000 things you should know – which I hope will keep her occupied for a little while. With Tigger loving Marvel the Marvel story book collection is the perfect bedtime book to add under the tree this year which we can enjoy a couple of pages together each night.
Top titles
Whilst I love to put thought into presents for my family and friends it is sometimes lovely when they have a Christmas wish list prepared. This year both my best friend and her daughter have added some book titles on to their Christmas wish list and I was thrilled to be able to pick these titles up at The Works, especially as they were newly released and available at great prices too.
Great gifts
Whilst we were sorting through Roo’s bedroom over the summer we came across an old marble run game that she had when she was younger, some of the pieces were missing and there is only a couple of marbles left but Tigger has loved playing with this set. So when I saw that The Works had a massive marble mountain gift set available for just £10 I knew that this would be the perfect replacement to Roo’s old marble set.
Christmas accessories
Alongside buying gifts from The Works I have managed to purchase Christmas cards, wrapping paper, gift bags and even some new Christmas decorations for the children to add to their bedrooms. I might have slipped a new notebook and stationery into my basket as well (you can never have too much stationery) to ensure that I have all the necessary supplies to jot down my pre-Christmas lists etc.
Will you be completing some of your Christmas shopping at The Works?
Disclosure: This post is in collaboration with The Works,
