Everyday in places we either have not heard of or chose not to think about girls and women walk miles just to get water for their families. This March Care International are asking for us all to walk 10,000 steps a day for a week.
Why not challenge yourself to do something that others have to do just to survive and ‘Walk in her shoes‘. Raising just £100 can provide water and sanitation at a school for a class of children for 2 years, saving their daily walk for water and allowing them to receive an education. Whilst £1,500 could build a well close to a community, providing an abundance of fresh, clean water and reducing their daily walk.

Get ready for the 4 – 10 March. This week of walking also coincides with International Women’s Day on Friday 8 March. But if you can’t make that week, just pick another in March.
Aim to walk 10,000 steps a day for that week. That’s about 8km (5 miles), depending on your stride.
We’ll send you a pedometer. Use it to help track your
daily progress.
daily progress.
Plan your fundraising. We ask each participant to fundraise at least £100 (which includes your £15 registration fee).
