Throughout the year there are many different days and weeks full of celebrations. From the traditional dates like Christmas, Easter and birthdays. To the alternative Nutella Day, Black Forest Gateaux and no socks day. Whilst a number of these dates are important to me (especially the Black Forest Gateaux day), there is one particular week that is made for me…
National Stationery Week
For one whole week, each year stationery addicts like myself can showcase their love for pens, notebooks and all things organisational. My love of stationery comes from my childhood of saving my pocket-money to purchase new folders, notebooks and fountain pens (I had a thing for coloured inks). Over the years my love of stationery hasn’t dampened, which is possibly how I ended up working in administration.
Even though I now work at home, almost all of my blog posts are handwritten in a notebook (in a different coloured pen for each new post – obviously). I find it easier to write my thoughts and feelings down on paper before I copy type them over to here.
National Stationery Week – Seven Days of Stationery
Over the course of National Stationery Week, each day is set to celebrate a different side to stationery. From pens and pencils, fountain pens and writing letters. You can get involved by sharing your love of stationery across the week on social media.
You don’t have to shout about your love of stationery from the rooftops, why not take the more direct approach and write a thank you card to someone who has helped you recently. Write that letter that you have been meaning to write for weeks (or months). Or just dust off your pen collection and enjoy writing down your day in a notebook.
