Where’s the Scone?
Where’s The Scone? is a fun and very
silly book for young children, featuring all
sorts of wonderfully exotic animals, munching
all sorts of different food.
A counting book from 1 to 10
with Llamas, Gnu, a few fish, a Swan & a scone…
there are even a few Yeti in there.

This animal filled book aids children with learning both numbers and animals. Unlike other number books we have read this one counts backwards from ten. Each page contains the same number of animals as the number it is showing but them eating some fabulous food from nibbling rice, tasting tofu and scoffing grapes.
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…
Tigger liked looking at the different animals although he was a little confused as to what some of then where so required a little bit of help with the names. At two and half he can easily count backwards from ten and does this every morning on his way to nursery counting down the door numbers.
Personally I liked the colour pages and the variety of animals included in the book. It did however start a debate about whether it is pronounced s…cone or s…gone. Being a northerner it is s…gone and thankfully the book agrees.
