With a mixture of sun, wind and rain that is another week almost over. It’s been a here, there and everywhere kind of week. With numerous appointments, meetings and surprises that I’m quite looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. Although having completed next to no housework all week I need to have a bit of a blitz.
Time for this week’s #LittleLoves
After this week, this will become a monthly feature as Morgana who hosts the linky has decided to switch to a monthly schedule. Given how busy Morgana is and everyone else, I think it will still work well as a monthly round-up.
Read
I’m the type of parent who will happily buy my children a new book whenever they ask for one. This week their schooling has had a travelling book fair running after school. With all the books on offer at 3 for 2, it meant that Roo and Tigger could select three new books each. Tigger selected a couple of new chapter books for us to read together. Whilst Roo spotted the new Alesha Dixon book.
Watched
Sky: Indulging in my love of period dramas I managed to record a repeat showing of Tess of the D’Urbervilles. One of the sad period dramas to watch, it has me sobbing in almost every episode.
Amazon Prime Video: An outrageous dose of Bad Moms
Netflix: After chatting with my best friend she recommended Jack Whitehall’s travels with my father – it hasn’t disappointed.
Heard
Although Piglet has always been a chatterbox (she was never going to be quiet if her siblings are anything to go by). There are times when only I can understand what she is chatting about. This past week her vocabulary has come on leaps and bounds. Her favourites at the moment are ‘so pretty’ which is stated as soon as she put anything on or spies clothes in the shops. As well as ‘careful mummy’, quite possibly in response to me telling her 100+ times a day to be careful.
Made
I finally got round to listing some bits and pieces onto Facebook Marketplace. Thankfully the majority of it has sold, although not without a few time wasters along the way.
Wore
I’ve seen no change on the weighing scales for a few weeks. I always scoff when Mr Boo tells me that I’ve lost weight. With an event to attend this week I popped on my favourite top, which in recent months has been a taught in recent months. So I was very surprised to see that it fits as it did once before. Maybe I need to listen to Mr Boo a little more often (but don’t tell him that I said that).
Lastly
Family life is so busy at the moment, between work, school and activities. At least once a month we like to book a day out so we can reconnect and have fun as a family. Last weekend, after two failed attempts due to snow, we finally made it to LEGOLAND Windsor – we had so much fun!
