After the snowfalls in January and February this year I was looking forward to the brighter days of March. with some mild, blustery days it has felt as though Spring is finally here. With the clocks due to leap forward this weekend for the start of British Summer Time. It’s much easier to feel brighter about the day ahead when the weather is bright and beautiful.
This months #LittleLoves…
Each month I share my #LittleLoves, a chance to reflect on the things that I have read, watched, heard and made. As well as highlighting what I’ve worn and any other highlights in my life. It’s not about the big things, it’s about all those small little loves that make up everyday life.
Read
My blog has been plagued with technical issues which have left me additional time to make headway on my reading list. Making the most of my work break times and lunchtimes to read a few chapters via the Kindle App on my phone. A great way to shake off the hectic hours on the shop floor and continue the storylines I have been reading.
My reading list this month features a number of mafia romance books. I’ve found myself drawn into the suspense of the mafia world whilst championing the women who cross their paths and make them fall in love.
Watched
I’ve found that the TV has become background noise for me rather than purposely sitting down to enjoy something. With What The Dad Said and the older children watching the X-Men film collection for family film nights, whilst I snuggle up next to them and read.
Heard
Travelling back and forth to work I had fallen into the trap of getting Alexa to play the All 90s or All 00s stations via Amazon Music Unlimited. However, I’d end up skipping songs as I drove along looking for one that caught my mood. So I’ve slowly been adding songs I love to a playlist to play in the car and found that makes my journeys so much brighter. Although I try not to look at the other drivers whilst I’m sitting in traffic to avoid the funny looks whilst I and singing along without a care in the world.
Wore
With all the getting up and down from a step stool and merchandising shelves I am always conscious about my jiggly bits. I’ve started wearing a cami vest top underneath my work polo shirts to ensure that when I’m reaching up etc. I don’t flash my belly. An area I’m conscious of, it has made me feel so much better.
Made
I’m crossing my fingers and my toes that the step by step plan that is in place to ease us out of lockdown works. With family adventures to various Merlin attractions pre-booked to make the most of our Merlin Annual Passes. It’s going to feel very strange for us all to be out and about with each other again but I can’t wait for the children to have some fun.
Lastly
The Easter holidays start today, although we have nothing planned it will be good to have the children home and not worry about schoolwork
