REVIEW: LittleLife Adventurer Kids Daysack Flower

May 10, 2013
Have you every tried to find a daysack/backpack for a small child? Personally I have found it so difficult as they are either too big for Roo to carry or are shocking quality.

SimplyHike have come to my rescue by suggesting I try the LittleLife Adventurer Kids Daysack Flower. Upon arrival the compact size of the bag worried me, thinking that Roo might not be able to carry many items in it.

Key features:

  • Reflective Piping
  • Padded back and shoulder sections
  • Chest strap prevents the pack from slipping off
  • Top grab handle
  • Zipped main compartment
  • Fun print on front of pack
  • Compatible with Toddler Daysack Rein

Size: 20 x 13 x 31 cm
Weight: 246g
Capacity: 6 litres
Age range: 4-6 yrs

As soon as Roo came home from school she spotted the daysack on the dining table and said ‘that looks nice Mummy… just my size‘. Very subtly hinting that maybe she could use it. After teasing her for a few minutes (yes I am that sort of cruel Mummy), I explained that it was in fact for her.

My initial concerns about not being able to carry many things in the daysack were unfounded. Roo managed to fit her packed lunch, Nintendo DS, doddle pad and pens… and still had space!

The bag itself has some great features, including a D-ring on the back of the daysack. This can be used for either hanging the bag up or is compatible with the toddler daysack reins (although I don’t think Roo would like me very much if I attached the reins to her bag).

The chest strap adds that extra securing and saves that annoying whinge ‘Mum my straps keep falling down!

A handy bottle holder on the outside insures that any leakages don’t affect the contents.

Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s thoughts…

Despite being a pale aqua colour Roo loved the bag (she’s usually a pink/purple type of girl), especially the flower design on the front. She felt grown up by having her own bag with her when we went on a Teddy Bears picnic.

For me, I loved that cute size of the bag meaning that Roo could easily wear it. Seeing Roo gain a little piece of independence when heading off on her latest adventure was just lovely. I was quite surprised at just how much you could fit in just one little bag.

Disclosure: We received a LittleLife Adventurer Kids Daysack Flower FOC for the purpose of review
