International Nurses’ Day – 12th May

May 11, 2013

At some time in our lives, we have all experienced the limitless care and compassion of a nurse – but to nurses themselves, it’s all in a day’s work. May 12th is International Nurses’ Day, on which we recognise and celebrate the amazing job that all nurses do, as well as commemorate the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the visionary Victorian nurse who pioneered the nursing methods that are still in use today.

A close up of a book

In honour of International Nurses’ Day, the greetings and birthday cards specialist Hallmark has designed this wonderful E-card to say ‘thank you’ to nurses across the world. So share it with the nurses among your friends and family, and remind them just how important they are not just today, but always!

As someone who works alongside nurses and observes what they do day after day I will be sharing this with all my colleagues.

Thank you to all nurses, you do an amazing job!
