My First Workbench
The Learning Resources My First Workbench is aimed at children aged 3+. Making it the perfect preschool activity that can be used in a variety of different ways. The activity set supports STEM learning through artistic play and basic engineering skills.
My First Workbench – what’s included?

There is a handy storage drawer located underneath the workbench in order for all the bolts and nails to be stored when not in use. The hammer and electric toy bolt drill are housed in slots at the top of the workbench.
Learning Features
Colour recognition
Using the different coloured bolts and nails, children can discover a range of colours. Which can be grouped together by colour or used in a sequence.
Patterning
Within the activity guide, there are a series of ten different patterns that children can follow and create. From trains, stripes and butterflies. Parents could also create a template using squared paper and let little one create their very own design book.
Following direction
Using the activity guide to create patterns and shapes or listening to parents asking for all the purple bolts to be added to the workbench.
Learn through play with My First Workbench
Piglet is a curious child by nature, always on the look out to see if she can figure out how things work. STEM activity toys like the My First Workbench give her the tools to improve her colour recognition, counting and fine motor skills. All whilst discovering how a hammer is used, and an electric toy bolt drill works.
Although aimed at preschoolers and those in the Early Years Foundation. Both Roo and Tigger enjoy playing with Piglet on the workbench. Taking it in turns to create patterns or to see who can fill the workbench the fastest.
