Whilst driving down to the Harry Potter Studio Tour a week or so ago Roo informed me ‘Mum, I need the toilet‘. Thankfully it was just as we were approaching the Little Chef at Mildenhall where we often stop for something if we have been out and about.
So Mr Boo pulled into the car park and I made my way inside with Roo. On the door we were greeted with a paper sign stating that toilets were for customers only, however we made our way inside.
Once inside we were greeted by a waitress who was a little too close for comfort, and asked what we wanted. I explained that Roo needed the toilet and was told that toilets were for customers only. ‘She is 6 years old and needs a wee, what would you like me to do?‘ I asked.
‘Sorry not my problem‘ was the response I received before turning on her heels and walking away.
So there I am standing dumbfounded by her response so I decided to take Roo to the toilet anyway. What was the waitress going to do? call the police because a 6 year old little girl needed the toilet, I don’t think so. I understand that they don’t want every Tom, Dick and Harry in using their facilities (which my I point out aren’t all that hygienic anyway), but really saying a little girl can’t use the toilet??
