I often talk on here about the children and our lives, however, I don’t tend to share much about myself. Partly as I don’t think I’m all that interesting and partly as I never really know what to say about myself. So meme’s like The Sunshine Blogger Quiz are always something I’m happy to complete as I have the questions set for me. The lovely Kerry-Anne from Mimi-Rose and Me recently tagged me in this with 10 questions for me to answer in a bid for you all to learn a little more about me.
The Sunshine Blogger Quiz
So here goes…
1. What’s the best thing about blogging for you?
A difficult one and probably something you would get a different answer to depending on what mood I am in. If I’m honest, I’d have to say the friends that I have made. Whilst to some that might sound silly counting people who live all across the country as my friends but these ladies probably know more about me than some of my family and friends. They are there for me to grumble about my day, or if an opportunity hasn’t gone my way. They are there to celebrate the changes in my life and support me when I feel like giving it all up.
2. What is your happiest memory?
My wedding day. Mr. Boo and I, like most couples, have faced a number of challenges in the years we have been together. However, walking down the aisle and saying ‘I do’ was something I had looked forward to and have fond memories of that day.
3. Do you have a favourite season?
Whilst I love a bit of snow, I’m not sure I could live with it for an extended period of time so I have to say that Autumn is my favourite season. As a northerner at heart I don’t manage in the warm weather too well, so the cooler days of Autumn are always a welcomed respite from the blistering heat. Plus seeing all the golden leaves falling from the trees is simply stunning.
4. Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Neither. Once upon a time, I was a night owl, however, with three children who rarely sleep past 7 am I am ready to go to sleep in the evenings. Sleep is a very important thing to me and if I don’t get enough of it I am a grumpy moo – to put it politely.
5. If you have children, share your favourite photo of them
I have three children, Roo, Tigger, and Piglet. All spread across the age ranges they keep me on my toes and challenge me in different ways.
6. What’s your favourite TV programme?
I’m a sucker for documentaries, especially those relating to the police, ambulance service etc. I’m a nosy person so I love getting a glimpse into what their working lives are like. Although I do get annoyed at some of the complete idiots that they come across and have to deal with.
7. How do you relax?
Relax? What is relaxing? I’m a mum we don’t relax! Joking aside, I’d probably say that sitting down and watching a film or something on Netflix is how I relax. I do love a puzzle book too but I haven’t treated myself to one of those in a while (adds to the shopping list).
8. Tea or coffee?
Neither. I’m one of those funny people in life who doesn’t drink either tea or coffee. I’ll very occasionally have a hot chocolate but I much prefer a glass of squash or water.
9. What inspires you?
My children. I want to be the best for them and offer them the best too. It’s all too easy to get caught up in ‘keeping up with the Jones’ when actually all my children really need is me and Mr. Boo.
10. What would be your dream holiday?
New York at Christmas would be at the top of my list. I want to stand in front of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree just like Kevin did on Home Alone 2. I want to go skating at Central Park with rosy red cheeks from the cold. Go Christmas shopping in Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s, before heading over to Carlos Bakery for a slice (or two) of cake.
