Earlier this week Facebook memories alerted me to the fact I finished work and had my baby shower a year ago. It doesn’t feel like a year ago since I started my maternity leave. In some ways, it feels longer than that, yet in other ways, it’s difficult to believe that a year has passed.
Piglet is now 11 months, just one month shy of her first birthday. I guess I’m living in denial that I will soon have a one-year-old. As yet I’ve not organised anything for her birthday which makes me feel very disorganised.
I’m really loving this age, she is a little sponge at the moment and appears to be learning something new every day. She’s finally grasped the art of crawling on her hands and knees. Although she’ll do it for so long before reverting back to commando crawling as she is a whizz at that.
Whilst she has been pulling herself up against the sofa for a month or so. This month she has grown in confidence and is happily walking along the edge of it whilst holding on. This, of course, isn’t restricted to the sofas, anything in which she can pull herself up upon, she will. I’m wondering whether we will have our first walker before a year old.
Piglet is quite the entertainer and has been shrugging her shoulders, dancing and shaking her head at everyone this month. I do love her sunshine personality which only turns to thunder when she’s hungry or tired. Whilst Roo is like a mini mummy to her, it is Tigger whom she looks too, to make her giggle. He only has to look at her and she is giggling away, not sure what that says about Tigger but she is loving it.
Just one more month of having an under one, best make this last month count.
