I don’t think that there is anything sweeter than seeing a happy baby. Those gummy smiles, chubby cheeks, and first giggles are simply adorable. There is something about seeing a happy baby that is infectious and suddenly you are smiling along with them. Of course, babies aren’t always happy and sometimes trying to coax a smile out of them can be somewhat challenging.
You try all the usual tricks of blowing raspberries, tickles, funny faces and even singing their favourite nursery rhyme. I’ve tried all the different Sounds of Happy that A Mummy Too mentions in her trip down memory lane, including the silly actions from songs. If you’re lucky you’ll get a sympathetic smile out of them, with that look of ‘is that the best you can do‘ on their face.
What if there was a song that could make babies happy whenever they heard it?
How would you go about creating such a song?

The Happy Song
C&G baby club has teamed up with psychologists and over 1,000 parents to find out what musical sounds make little ones happy. Whilst there is no real evidence to suggest that babies listening to music from an early age can make them smarter. It has been proven that listening to music can make them happier and this is the hope behind the research and development of this song. With these sounds, they made a song! The Happy Song!
‘The Happy Song’ is now available here: www.soundofhappy.com and on Spotify too, so parents all over the UK can play it time and time again. The “Making of The Happy Song” and music video can be watched on C&G’s YouTube channel here…
