Looking forward to dressing a little girl

December 9, 2015

When I was pregnant with Roo we didn’t find out whether we were having a boy or a girl, in fact Mr Boo wanted to know however she had her legs crossed at our 20 week scan so we weren’t able to find out. As we didn’t know what flavour baby we were having we only bought the newborn essentials of bodysuits, sleepsuits and cardigans in neutral colours. Once Roo made her appearance and we found out that she was a girl it opened up the flood gates for me to go shopping for baby girls clothes.

With Tigger we found out that he was going to be a boy at our 20 weeks scan which allowed us be more prepared for him in terms of clothes and accessories, although it was nothing like shopping for a girl. Whilst boys clothes can be cute with a selection of sleepsuits, funky tops and handsome jeans, to me there is nothing quite like dressing a girl (must be me trying to relive my childhood of dressing up dolls).

You can imagine my excitement when we found out earlier this year that Piglet was going to be girl. Looking forward to dressing a little girl once again I turned to my local George department for their baby clothing range. I’ve managed to stock up on all the essentials required for dressing a little girl, from beautiful dresses, cardigans and tights (oh how I have missed tights) to winter warmers of hats, booties and cosy coats.

Since Piglet made her appearance at the end of November weighing in much smaller than we had anticipated we have turned once again to George to save her from being swamped by first size sleepsuits  with their tiny baby range fitting her like a glove. As she grows I can’t wait to see her in beautiful dresses, cardigans and of course matching tights to complete her outfit of the day.
