As some of you will know poor little Tigger has been suffering lately with a terrible snotty nose, so when I was contacted to review a nasal spray I jumped at the chance.
What is it?:
The only 100% natural sea water nasal spray designed to help clear and unblock babies noses from birth to 3 years old.
Using the specially angled nozzle, which allows easy application and can fit into the smallest of nostrils. The spray can be uses as often as required and is gentle but effective.
They have received the Allergy Friendly Product Award from Allergy UK, and more medical research information is available on their website.
How to use it:
Hold you little one to one side or lay down
Gently press the nozzle to prime the spray
Place nozzle in the nostril and gently press the nozzle for a few seconds
Allow excess to drain from the nose
Gently wipe away
How we got on:
My first attempt was a little unsuccessful as I wasn’t pressing the nozzle in the middle (more towards the edge) and nothing came out. I then realised I wasn’t doing it right (Doh!) and repeated this time success.
After spraying I noticed a white foamy liquid coming from his nostrils, waiting a few seconds and gently wiped away. I found that this spray worked in two ways, firstly, making Tigger sneeze and thus helping dislodge any built up mucus. Secondly, breaking down mucus (stopped it building up) and allowed anything to drain easily.
I love that this can be used as frequently as required. I tended to use it 10-15 minutes before food, so that his little nose was clear allowing him to eat or drink his milk.
