Organix has launched ‘Goodies Organic Veg & Oat Bars’, an innovative tasty savoury snack to keep toddlers going between meals. The bars are part of the new Goodies Savouries range – a variety of toddler snacks full of goodness and a welcome alternative to sweet flavours.
Dried tomato and carrot juice concentrate are combined with the goodness of wholegrain oats and gently baked into a soft bar to create the delicious savoury taste.
Frankie Philips, Nutritional Advisor to Organix, says, “Wholegrain snacks can give your child energy and as they release energy slowly your little one will have staying power, to keep them going between meals”.

How Tigger (and me) got on
Tigger seemed really interested in the bright red packaging, I was pleased to see the bars with individually wrapped which would ensure freshness and portability. The bar felt moist and soft to squeeze.
I handed the bar to Tigger who quickly took a bite. As he chewed it he looked a little puzzled and then put the bar down. I thought maybe he wasn’t hungry so tried the next day and he did the same thing. This time I thought I’d have a munch to see what was wrong. The bar wasn’t overly chewy but it lacked a sweetness that I thought would have come through from the carrot.
Unfortunately Tigger didn’t take to the bars which is a shame for me as I was hoping that this would be great to keep in his changing bag for when we were out about or on car journeys as a snack to munch on.
Overall
I think the idea of the bars is fabulous and I’m hoping that there will be new flavours added to the range in the future.
